Lenten Pretzel Baking!!!

Faith and Bake! For All Ages!

Please join us for a live Zoom this Saturday (2/27) at 2 p.m. for Lenten pretzel making, scripture, and a story. Gather your ingredients ahead and join in the fun as we bake and talk about Lent. 

Lenten Pretzel Recipe:


  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 cups flour, any type
  • 1 beaten egg, optional
  • course salt for topping, optional

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Mix yeast, water, sugar and salt in large bowl. Stir in flour. Knead until dough is smooth. Shape strips of dough into the form of arms crossed in prayer. Place on baking sheet. If using, brush pretzels with beaten egg now. Sprinkle coarse salt on top. Bake 15 minutes. Let cool. Enjoy.
