Planning a visit to CCH? We’re expecting you! We’ve designed this page as a resource to help answer the most common questions you may have before your visit.

You are welcome here!

What time is worship?

Worship begins every Sunday morning at 10:00am.

What should I expect when I walk in?

There often is a church member just inside our doors to greet members and guests. If for some reason this isn’t the case, please proceed up the stairs to our bright sanctuary where the Sunday service will take place. There is an elevator in the front entry for to make it easier for anyone who needs to get to the second floor. In the summer months, you will find the Sunday service in our air conditioned Fellowship Hall which is also on the second floor of the building.

What are your worship services like?

Worship services typically run for one hour. They begin with music, a welcome and brief announcements about various church efforts. After being called to worship, hymns are sung by the congregation or the choir throughout the service, readings are recited from the Bible, a sermon is delivered and prayers and offerings are made. A Benediction closes the service.

How should I dress for worship?

Our congregation’s attire ranges from casual to dressy. Please wear what you are comfortable in.

Can I bring my children with me?

Absolutely! Children are always welcome at church! Services begin with families together in the Sanctuary. After a short children’s sermon, children are invited to head downstairs to age appropriate faith formation classes which are led by “safe-church certified” members who volunteer as teachers. Classes are available for grades K-12. If you/your child prefers, they are also welcome to stay upstairs throughout the entire service.

Also, we have a staffed nursery available for our very youngest attendees that opens at 9:45am and runs until 11:15am . Infants/Toddlers are welcome to stay upstairs during the service or may spend some time in caring hands downstairs should parents choose this option.

Can I take communion?

Yes. Anyone present may partake in the Communion service should they wish to do so. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and at some special services throughout the year. Children learn about Communion in third grade.
