Help with worship
We are always on the lookout for volunteers to assist with our Sunday morning worship services. We need folks to serve as:
Greeters
Lay Leaders
Ushers
Altar Flower Donations
Coffee Hour Hosts
Teach a Sunday School class
Are you good with kids? Like to teach? Make a difference by leading a children’s faith formation class!
CCH will provide all the necessary curriculum materials, all you need to bring is your passion.
Make a joyful noise
CCH has a long tradition of great music. We have opportunities for you to share your musical gifts no matter your age:
Adult voice choir
Special occasion instrumentalists
Become a Mentor
In our tradition, teenagers participate in a year of formation called “confirmation.” Adult mentors are needed to journey alongside these teens as they learn about our church and its theology and traditions.
Offer care and support
Be part of a group of people willing to fix and bring a meal to someone in need of help and caring. Send cards and notes of caring and prayers to friends and members who might welcome a friendly message.
Be a mission trip chaperone
Every year, our senior high students go on a weeklong mission trip with Down East Maine Missions. Your time leading and serving alongside these young people will be both exhausting and inspiring!
Serve as a leader
CCH has a democratic form of governance – we rely on our members to carry out the work of being a church. If you feel called to serve in a leadership role, please consider joining one of our committees.
